Depends on where you draw your "Glam" line. The boundaries of Glam are so damn vague, and a band like this easily can fall into it. I think much of the persons idea of what Glam is falls upon what you were introduced to in the "scene". If somebody first showed you Poison and said "this is Glam" then your idea will be different than the person who was introduced to it by means of Slade. I found it with Hanoi, NY Dolls, and T-Rex, so a band like Poison was never Glam in my eyes. They looked it, but they sure as hell didn't sound it.
The first Bang Tango live EP had the Glam going, they even did Hanoi's "Futurama". Then the first album came out, and it was bordering on GnR style, especially in the vocals. It was a bit hard to take, but I still found reason to enjoy it.
For me though, they hit their perfect sound with "Dancing On Coals", which captured their "Funk" side perfectly, and found the beat from Glam. So for me, DOC was more Glam than anything else they did, even though it was so dang "Funk" in style.
But yes, Bang Tango was a borderline "Glam" outfit that stood mostly in the "Glam" land, IMO.

I would say not, but remember the "Someone like you" vid? pretty glammy. Vocals weren't glammy though. I loved a lot of their stuff though. Agree with Carl, DOC was a great album, with quite a bit of funk in it. That wasn't really glam. Someone Like You was though.
Carl, did DOC sound like, say, New York Groove by Hello? By that I mean, did it have that four on the floor drum sound that was also in very early disco? You know, before the diva-type rubbish took over.

I would say yes, Bang Tango are glam. The darker, sleazier kind though, like LA Guns. I'm glad they have their own sound too, something Joe Leste continued in Beautiful Creatures. Not just another peroxide lipstick bandwagon jumper.
